A thousand stories
Six years of the Home for Good book
Home for Good by Krish and Miriam Kandiah was first published six years ago by Hodder Faith and since its release we have heard countless stories of people who have been inspired by it and gone on to welcome vulnerable children into their homes through fostering or adoption.

This year, the new edition of Home for Good was released so we took the opportunity to celebrate all the stories and lives impacted by the book. Hodder Faith hosted the evening on the rooftop terrace of their London offices on 16 May and we heard, first hand, some of the stories of impact – including a twenty-three year old single woman now fostering, a millennial couple who chose adoption to start their family, a business man who has raised £25
0,000 to help find families for children in care and many others.
The number of incredible stories we have heard has inspired us to continue doing all we can to encourage others to consider welcoming children into loving homes where they can thrive. So, we created a crowdfunder, aiming to raise enough money for our enquiry line team to gift a Home for Good book to the 1000 people who will contact us considering fostering or adoption over the next year.
Our online crowdfunder ended on 31 May at midnight and, along with some offline donations, we hit our target of £10,000. We are so grateful to everyone who contributed to the crowdfunder and we are so looking forward to hearing more stories of people stepping up to foster or adopt because they have been inspired by reading Home for Good.
