Find out how we are finding homes for children in London and South East England

London and South East of England Lead Billy-Jo has been out and about, speaking to church leaders, unity groups, and individuals. The London Borough of Bexley has been a hive of activity this term, and it’s been great to work with local authorities and church leaders in Brighton and Hove, West Sussex, Hampshire, South Buckinghamshire and Camden!

We gathered all of our Home for Good Champions online in November, and since then Billy-Jo has been connecting with Champions in her patch. She shares:

I’m really pleased to be able to journey with Champions and get to know them better. I am most excited about hearing their dreams for their churches and hopes for children in our community.

We loved visiting Redeemer church in London to talk about adoption, fostering and supported lodgings, and then join a small group from the church for lunch who wanted ask questions and find out more – our team are always keen to chat with those exploring what their role could be in caring for vulnerable children, the lunch was just a bonus!

Over Christmas, we’ve had a number of exciting opportunities to engage with the local community. Champions from a number of churches have been packing stockings, supplying food parcels and sharing chocolate treats within their communities.

What can I be praying for?

We would love you to stand with us in prayer as we continue to work to find a home for every child who needs one in London and the South East.

  • Join us in praying for families as they navigate the Christmas season – the joys, and also the challenges.
  • Please pray for all our Champions and especially that those who hold big hopes and dreams for their churches and communities would see these come to fruition.
  • Pray for foster carers, adoptive families and supported lodgings hosts as they care for children and young people.
Are there any events happening soon that I can attend?

Head over to our London and South East England pages to find out what is happening in the area and find all the local support groups.
