News from Yorkshire and North East England

Find out how we are finding homes for children in Yorkshire and North East England

We are delighted that Emma Chaldecott has joined the Home for Good team as our Yorkshire and North East Regional Lead! Emma is loving getting to know people, churches, Champions and the Home for Good team, and we are excited to share with you a little of what’s been going on in the region since she joined us.

We’re excited that our agreement with Leeds City Council is still going strong, and we’re encouraged at the hope of new relationships in Hull, Teesside and particularly in South Yorkshire where we already have a number of amazing Champions and peer support groups.

We have a Home for Good tree at Sheffield’s 2021 Christmas Tree Festival. We really hope that this event provides an opportunity to connect with people in the area who share our heart for vulnerable children. We’re hopeful to see an increase of activity in the region over the next few months, especially in areas where we’re yet to build relationships. If you live in Yorkshire or the North East and would like to connect with Home for Good, please get in touch with Emma!

What can I be praying for?

We would love you to stand with us in prayer as we continue to work to find a home for every child who needs one in Yorkshire and the North East.

    • Pray for our existing peer support groups. We have a few large peer support groups in the region, and we’d love you to join us in praying for leaders and members as they navigate the Christmas period.
    • Pray for the tree festival in Sheffield, that this will provide an exciting opportunity to connect with others.
    • Pray that our Champion network would continue to grow in the region.
Are there any events happening soon that I can attend?

Head over to North East and Yorkshire and Humber pages to find out what is happening in the area and find all the local support groups.
